Objective: To explore the value of the clinical application in emergency bedside-Echocardiography (EB-Echo). Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of 190 cases that received examination by EB-Echo from Jan 2003 to Match 2005. Result: In the 78 chest pain patients, Echo detected the acute myocardial infarction 48, aortic dissection 5, and pulmonary embolism 3. Left ventricular function was evaluated in 61 heart failure cases. 1 case was found mitral valve and aortic valve vegetations in 24 fever patients. 5 cases were verified in 6 suspected congenital heart disease. 10 pericardial effusion cases were undergone puncturing by EB-Echo guiding. 2 cases with left atrial thrombus and 1 case hypertrophy obstructive cardiomyopathy were detected. Conclusion: The EB-Echo provided the information of diagnosis and differential diagnosis immeately and conveniently.
