Objective To study the expression of CK7/CK20 in intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma and hepatolithiasis. Methods CK7/CK20 were analysed in 30 cases of intrahepatic changiocarcinoma and 30 cases of hepatolithiasis by immunohistochemical PV6000 method and DAB coloration kit. 10 cases normal liver tissue were analysed as control.. Using the known positive section as the positive criteria, PBS displaces primary antibody as negative criteria. Results The positive rates of CK7 expression in intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, normal intrahepatic bile duct were 96.7%(29/30),13.3%(2/15) respectively .Their difference was significant(P<0.01).The positive rates of CK20 expression in intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, normal intrahepatic bile duct were 43.3%(13/30),6.7%(l/15) respectively .Their difference was signiflcant(P<0.01). The positive rates of CK7 expression in hepatolithiasis., normal intrahepatic bile duct were 76.6%(23/30),13.3%(2/15) respectively .Their difference was significant(P<0.05). The positive rates of CK20 expression in hepatolithiasis., normal intrahepatic bile duct were 6.7% (2/30) , 6.7% (1/15) respectively .Their difference was no significant(P>0.05). The expression of CK7/CK20 does not correlate with the sex and age of patients in intrahepatic changiocarcinoma and tumor's histological grading (P>0. 05). Conclusion CK7/CK20 may be tumor makers of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma The expression of CK7/CK20 does not correlate with the sex and age of patients in intrahepatic changiocarcinoma and tumor's histological grading. The difference of the expression of CK7 in intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma and hepatolithiasis means that hepatolithiasis is a risk factor to intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.
