The prognosis of nephrotic syndrome (NS) is influenced by manyfactors. Classification of renal patholog is the major factor, andhyperlipidemia, generous proteinuria are also important factors.Purposes: 1. To explore the prognosis of NS that classificationof renal pathology produced, and comprehend the significance ofpercutaneous kidney biopsies. 2. To observe the effect of fluvastatintablets to treat hyperlipidemia in nephrotic syndrome patients. Methods: Between March 2001 and April 2006 in the FirstHospital of Jilin University, 30 attemps of percutaneous kidneybiopsies were performed in nephrotic syndrome patients .In this report, the sexuality, years of age, the pathologic entities and prognosis wereanalized retrospectively. Then, 60 cases of nephrotic syndromepatients were divided into two groups randomly, of which 30 caseswere treated by routine methods, while the other 30 cases of patientswere adding fluvastatin tablets 0.2g (p.o. qn) for 8 weeks on the baseof routine treatment, the blood lipids of patients at pre and posttreatment were examed. Results: The male is 18 cases and the female is 12cases in 30patients: Male adolescent were predominant in this group of patients(60%). The mean age of the whole group patients was 34.5±10.4years. The Classification of renal pathology: McD 8 cases (27%),MsPGN 12 cases (40%), FSGS 3 cases (10%), MN 3 cases (10%),IgAN 4 cases (13%). Complete remission: McD 8 cases, MsPGN 6cases, MN 1 cases, IgAN 2 cases. Partial remission: MsPGN 4 cases,FSGS 1 case, MN 1 case. Ineffective: MsPGN 2 cases, FSGS 1 case,MN 1 case, IgAN 1 case. Worsening: FSGS 1 case, IgAN 1 case. TC,TG were decreased 75%, 61.11%, respectively while HDL-C wasincreased 70.59% and the urinic protein was signiticantly dereased inthe treatment group. Conclusions: As a result, we draw the following conclusions: 1.The yong and prime persons are more in nephrotic syndrome, and themale is more than the female. The clinical manifestations areresemblance in the nephrotic syndrome, but they are produced bydifferent classification of renal pathology。McN and MsPGN aremanyand their prognosises are fine. Fluvastatin tablets may effectivelyimprove the standards of every issues of heamolipids, decreasing urineprotein, increasing serum album in and the cure rate of nephroticsyndrome. 3. The percutaneous kidney biopsies has the importantsignificance to the diagnosis, guiding the treatment and judging theprognosis of the kidney diseases. So we should identify classificationof renal pathology, determine treatment prescription by percutaneouskidney biopsies in the kidney diseases. In the treatment process, weshould cure hyperlipidemia positively.
