Objective: To investigate the expression of Annexin Al, P16, CDK4 protein in normal endometrial tissues, endometrial hyperplasia tissues , endometrial andadenocarcinoma, and the clinicopathological significance. Methods: Immunohistochemical staining S-P method was used to detect the expression of Annexin Al, CDK4, and P16 in 30 normal endometrial tissues, 92 endometrial hyperplasia tissues and 66 endometrial adenocarcinomas. Results: The positive immunostainning rates of Annexin Al in normal endometrium , hyperplasia endometrium, and endometrial adenocarcinoma gradually decreaed and the difference was statistically significant (x2=50.421, P=0.000). The positive rates of P16 also decreased, the difference was significant too(x2=25.929, P=0.000). But the positive rates of CDK4 gradually increased in normal endometrium , hyperplasia endometrium, and endometrial adenocarcinoma , the difference was statistically significant . There was positive correlation between Annexin Al and P16 expression.Negative correlation was found between Annexin Al and CDK4, between P16 and CDK4. The expression of Annexin Al, P16, CDK4 was unrelated to pathological grade and clinical stage. But the combination of negative expression of Annexin Al, P16 and positive expression of CDK4 had relationship both with pathological grade and clinical stage. With the increasing of pathological grade and clinical stage, the rate of the combination of negative expression of Annexin Al, P16 and positive expression of CDK4 was up.Conclusions: The expression of Annexin Al, P16 and CDK4 may have relationship with the development of endometrial adenocarcinoma. Investigation of these three proteins may be helpful in estimating prognosis and directing therapy.
