Objective To assess the value of Liquid-based Cytology Test (LCT) , Colposcope and LEEP in Screening and Treating cervical lesions. Methods 2279 cases of outpatients were detected with LCT and TBS from Oct 2004 to March 2005. The samples of atypical squamous cells(ASCUS) and more severe than ASCUS lesions were classified into positive cytology ,and then cytological results were compared with pathological examination results of cervical biopsies. The patients with cervical diseases were underwent LEEP. The pretherapy histologic results were compared with the one after LEEP.Results 1.The dissatisfactory rate of LCT samples was 0.53% , and the postive rate of abnormal epithelial cells diagnosed by LCT was 8.43%(191/2267) . Among 191 cases,2 cases(0.09%) of CA,36 cases(1.59%) of HSIL,39 cases(1.72%) of LSIL,114 cases(5.03%) of ASCUS.2.255 cases with postive cytologic results or clinical suspect received colposcopy and cervical biopsies. The coincident rate of two examination methods was 100 %for CA , 92.31 % for HSIL , 72.22 % for LSIL. Combining detection of LCT and colposcopy.the rate of cervical lesions is 98.13%.3.242 patients with cervical lesions underwent LEEP were studied. There was difference between biopsies directed by colposcope and L EEP specimens(P<0.05).Conclusion LCT and TBS combining with colposcopy can accurately detect cervical cancer , precancerous lesions and infection of bacteria , virus and other pathogens , and at present is a means of screening cervical cancer. LEEP is a good method to diagnosis and treatment cervical lesions ,especially in the treatment of CIN.
