Total 556 students completed a questionnaire included self-designed on-line General Conditions Questionnaire, Symptom Checklist-90(SCL-90), Social Avoidance and Distress Scale(SAD), Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS), Self-esteem Scale(SES), Eysenck Personality Questionnaire(EPQ) and Chinese Internet Addiction Scale-Revised (CIAS-R). The recovery rate of the valid questionnaires was 94.72%, and the data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, chi-square test, independent-samples T test and logistic regression. Results: The results showed that 67.9% students had the internet access at their dormitory, and the students whose the average time spending in internet was over 10 hours per week occupied 33.3% of all. Whereas it was 85.7% in the high risk group of Pathological Internet Use. The average score of CIAS-R was 69.61 in the high risk group of Pathological Internet Use. One-factor analysis show that significant related factors that emerged as common correlates with PIU were sex, present live-condition approval, study pressure, bad love, the level of mental health condition, personality characteristic, self-esteem and social support etc. Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that the major impact factors weregamble, playing game, the heaver study pressure, psychiatric personality traits tendency and low self-esteem.Conclusions: The results can provide relevant departments to understand the general information of mental health and internet use and the significant impact factors of Pathological Internet Use among the graduates. The relevant departments should pay high attention to their mental health, and guide them to use internet reasonably to avoid affecting mental and body health.
