Objective: It is an inevitable trend that medical education is becoming globalization at current medical education reform. Analyzing whether the something taught of undergraduate clinical education in China tallies with the GMER's contents, the research based on the Global Minimum Essential Requirements in Medical Education (GMER) evaluate the gap between medical education international standards and undergraduate clinical education in China and give some useful information to Chinese medical education reform. Meanwhile, it also analyze the influence on the consistency of contents between GMER and Chinese undergraduate clinical education to probe into some improvement measures .All be done provide some constructive advices to Chinese medical education globalization.Methods: The student questionnaire was organized according to the contents of GMER. Evaluate the consistency between GMER and Chinese undergraduate clinical education by the students' answer to the questionnaire. Analyze the influence on the consistency between GMER and Chinese undergraduate clinical medical education by investigating clinical teaching management with letter and qualitative analysis of medical education government policy.Result: The something taught of Chinese undergraduate clinical education covers GMER's contents completely. The medical education policy and the clinical teaching management also is consistent to the GMER's contents. However, there is the weak link in Chinese undergraduate clinical educationin three areas on GMER which are population health and health systems, management of information, critical thinking and research. Management of information is not proclaimed in writing on licencing of doctor examinaton. The tally degree in east and middle part colleges are better than those of west. There are four important factors which are teaching management systems, curriculum requirement, teaching and examination methods influencing on the consistency between GMER and Chinese undergraduate clinical education.Conclusion: The Chinese undergraduate clinical education is consistent to the content of GMER. Population health and health systems, management of information, critical thinking and research required by GMER are not taken seriously at teaching and management in undergraduate clinical education in China. Those also are the biggest gap between Chinese clinical education and international standards. Suggest the college to reduce the gap to GMER or enhance the teaching of weak link with GEMR by reinforcing the teaching management, changing the teaching mind, improving the teaching methods and clinical skill examination.
