The Study On Related Factor Of Chronic Diseases In Huaiyin Community

Objective To collect the information of vital statistics, natural environment, social environment , inhabitants' health, health risk behavior, chronic diseases and mortality in Huaiyin community in 1999 and 2002 and study the current status of the related factors of chronic diseases to provide foundation for community health service. We also compared the field survey about chronic diseases related factors in 1999 with in 2002 to explore if there were changes after government intervened and community health services were developed for several years. Then to evaluate the effect of our work and help making the further health policy and formulating the new health promoting program.Methods The questionnaires, social visits and data collecting were used to investigate the conditions of natural environment, social environment and inhabitants' health. The prevalence rate and exiting rate of behaviol risk factors were got from questionnaires, the information of vital statistics and mortality were attained under the help of police station. Analysis of comparising pedigree were used in the investigation to evaluate the prevalence about diseases and hurt. EPIINFO-5.0 and statistic software were adopted in statistics.Results There were changes between the chronic diseases related factors in 1999 and those in 2002. For example: 1, The society was stable, economy was developed, the inhabitants' income and civilization wereimproved and the population was controlled. But the age population is increasing. 2^ The propotions of disease and death were not changed much, but hypertension> hyperlipid^ diabetes were understood more, and prevalence known rate were increased. 3> The environmental pollution was controlled. But the drinking water quality was declined and the living conditions were improved. 4> Inhabitants' knowledge about behavior risk factors were advanced, but it was difficult to give up smoking, reduce drinking and practise phycical exercises. And the diet was not balanced. There was a trend to incept more protein and more caloric.Conclusion It was an effective way in Huaiyin community to perform comprehensive measures to prevent and control diseases.But more messures are needed too. And since the problem of population will be exited for a long time in the future , the chronic diseases' preventing and controlling work is still hard.
