Objective:Intracerebral haemorrhage,a serious neurological dis-ease, causes complicated pathophysiological changes in patients. Neuropeptides CGRP and ET have the effect on arterial vasoconstriction and vasodilation.CGRP can protect neurons also. CGRP and ET are two important neuropeptides. The study is to investigate the relation between CGRP and ET in patients with intracerebral haemorrhage, and the correlation between the peptides and the formation of cerebral edema, to find a new pathway for curing intracerebral haemorrhage.Metheds: The serum concentration of CGRP and ET were measured by RIA methed, in 39 patients with ICH and 23 normal individuals respectively in 24h, 3-5days,15days, one month after onset, 39 patients served as the case group and 19 normal individuals as the normal group. Changes and relation of the serum CGRP and ET were analyzed. According to CT brain scanning and MRI. The degree of perihematoma cerebral edema were assessed in the 39 patients with ICH. The correlation of the neuropeptides and the degree of the cerebral edema was analyzed by correlative analysis. Results: Compared with normal individuals, there were significant differences in CGRP and ET respectively in 39 patients with ICH (P<0.05). The...
