The psychopathology of depression is still not known. The methods to treatments on depression exists different defects because the treatment is based on the various hypothesis. The depressive state of high HPA axis levels in mice conforms to that of the clinical patient in a certain degree. There are some hypothesis about the psychopathology of depression in the branch of learning, for example, monoamine neurotransmitter hypothesis, immunological mechanism and neurotic-endocrine hypothesis. IL-2 and IL-6 are primarily made by T lymphocyte, which are affective cytokine in many fields. IL-2 participates in neurotic-biochemistry, hormonology and immunorea-ctions, which takes play in the extensive physiological and pathological domino effects, such as the affection of the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis (HPA). To discuss the mechanism of SJSM treating depression: SJSM is Chinese traditional medical prescription based on the prescription of Shugan powder and Xiaoyao powder.
