Objective:To observe the influence of simvastatin on plasma inflammation cytokines IL-6 MMP-9 and CRP level in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS) in short duration of time of 3 days. Methods: Forty-six patients of ACS were diagnosed by clinical symptoms, electrocardiogram(ECG), cardiac enzymatic markers and coronary angiography . 46 cases patients with ACS were randomized to two groups : group treated with simvastatin (n=23) and group treated with routine therapy (n=23). The former accepted simvastatin 40mg per day for 3 days immediately after admission, in addition with routine therapy of ACS; the later just only accepted routine therapy of ACS except non-lipid-lowering drugs. Plasma IL-6,MMP-9 and CRP of two groups patiens were measured by enzyme linked-immuno-sorbent assay(ELISA). Concentration of Plasma total cholesterol (TC),triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein(HDL), low density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C) and apoliproteins were determined by automatic biochemical analyses instruments. Results: There were no significant statistic difference for the concentration of plasma TC TG HDL LDL-C between two groups before therapy. The concentration of TG, HDL and LDL-C had slightly increased but had no statistical significance in routine treatment group after 3 days of therapy. The concentration of TG, HDL and LDL-C reduced 8.4% 14.4% 8.8% and 8.5%...
