Nootropics oxiracitam is a kind of loop-GABOB ramification, whichbelongs to central neuronal system(CNS)drug. Oxiracitam can promotelearning,enhance memory and protect nerve cells. At present, the studyabout oxiracitam is mostly focused on CNS degenerate disease, such asaged cerebral function-deficience syndrome, Alzheime's disease, cerebralatherosclerosis and the reduced memory and ideation after cerebrovascularattacking. But the studies of oxiracitam effect traumatic brain injury(TBI)are still lacking. The oxiracitam injection producted by Chang Sha HuaiEng Medical Research Institute are operated on the multicenterdouble-blind clinical test of third period in five domestic hospital. Weadopted neuroelectriphisilogical measure to investigate the curative effectof oxiracitam treating the mild and moderate TBI. The aim of our study isorder to remedy the scarcity in this domine. abjective: To reveal theeffects of nootropics oxiracetam treat the light and midding TBI bymonitoring of . neuroelectriphisilogical measure. Methods: The randomdouble-blind contrast test is applied. The piracetam group and oxiracetamgroup are both 24 mild and moderate TBI patients in qEEG test. And Thepiracetam group and oxiracetam group are both 20 mild TBI patients inP300 test. We apartrespectively collect the data of qEEG and P300 beforegiving medicine and after 21 days of the end of treatment. Then thedifference of the data of qEEG and P300 between the beginning and theend of giving piracetam and oxiracetam will be analyzed by paired t-test.The difference of the discrepant data of qEEG and P300 between piracetamgroup and oxiracetam group will be analyzed by two-sample t-test. Result:The discrepancy of the data of qEEG and P300 between the beginning andthe end of giving this two medicines is proved existent(P<0.001), that's tosay this two medicine are beneficial to the patients' treatment. Thedifference of the discrepant data of qEEG and P300 between two group isproved existent(P<0.05, P<0.001), that's to say the effect of oxiracetamgroup is more obvious than piracetam group. Conclusion: The change ofqEEG and P300 proved that oxiracetam can promote the recovery of thelight and midding TBI, and the efficacy is better than piracetam.
