Objective To discuss epidemiological character and relative risk factors of ZOC fractures and to appraise postoperative therapy of ZOC fractures, the report is intended to reveal the risk factors of prognosis of ZOC fractures. Which can offer impersonality bases for diagnosing ZOC fractures. Methods To collect completely data of 120 patients with ZOC fracture, the data were analyzed statistically in regard of gender, age, profession, injury causes, associated systemic injuries and fracture pattern. Operation time, corresponding clinical treatment and prognosis were analyzed in 110 operated cases. The report is intended to reveal the risk factors of prognosis of ZOC fractures with logistic regression analysis. Results The finding shows the average age was 30.1±11.0 ys and the proportion of 20~ ys was the topmost (55.0%). The males were most accounting to 88.3%. There was half more of the whole (53.3%) that were engaged in physical strength working. The leading cause of ZOC fractures was traffic accidents accounting to 58.3%. The associated systemic injuries patients was accounting to 40.8 %, the incidence rate of brain damage was the topmost (35.71%) among them. B was the topmost (57.5%) in the clinical classification of ZOC fractures. There were 25 cases (20.8%) with orbital floor fractures. Of 110 cases, 74.5% were cured in two weeks. It was most that with periorbital and intraoral incision to reduction and fixation ZOC fractures accounting to 56.4%. Of the whole patients, 78.2% were healed. The logistic regression analysis identified that associated systemic injuries, delayed operation and fracture pattern were prognostic dangerous factors. Conclusion The patients of ZOC fractures were found in young males commonly. The cases were engaged in physical strength working mostly. The leading cause of ZOC fractures was traffic accidents. The incidence rate of brain damage was the topmost among them. B was the topmost of ZOC fractures of clinical classification. The leading cause of ZOC fractures was traffic accident. It was most treatment that reduction and internal fixation with periorbital and intraoral incision.Osteotomy and orbital floor reconstruct were effective measures in the treatment of ZOC fractures. Associated systemic injuries, delayed operation and fracture pattern were dangerous factors.
