Objective:To evaluate CD44V6 and MMP-2 expression in endometriotic and eutopic endometrium in women with endometriosis and nomal endometrium. To assess the changes of sevum and ascites levels of soluble CD44V6 and MMP-2 in women with endometriosis and nomal women. Methods: CD44V6 and MMP-2 expression was examined in endometriotic (n=40) and entopic endometrium (n=35) and nomal endometrium(n=35)by immunohistorheonistry. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)was used to measure serum and ascites soluble CD44V6 and MMP-2 from 40 nomen with endometriosis and 35 nomal women. Results: Increased expression of CD44V6 and MMP-2 in endometriotic was found as compared with eutopic and nomal endometrium(p<0. 01) CD44V6 and MMP-2 expression was similar in the last two groups(p>0. 05). The soluble CD44V6 and MMP-2 levels in serum and ascites in EMT patients are significantly higher than those in normal women(P<0. 01).Conclusion:Our results sugget there were close selationships between CD44V6 and MMP-2, which were overexpressad in endometriotic tissues, the soluble CD44V6 and MMP-2 levels were significantly higher in serum and ascites in EMT patients than those in nomal women. CD44V6 and MMP-2 could be involved in the development of endometriotic lessions.
