Objective:Obesity is an important risk factor of insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. Adipocyte as a cell that can actively secretes a series factors to regulate the passway responsible for energy balance, include resistin and adiponectin. To realize the pathophysiological mechanism of obesity to type 2 diabetes,we assayed serum levels of resistin, adiponectin in 34 obese children and 31 normal subjects, and investigated the connection resistin and adiponectin with body parameters and other parameters of sugar metabolism. We discussed the effect of resistin and adiponectin in hyperinsulinemia or insulin resistance, and seeked for a way to prevent from the harm of hyperinsulinemia or insulin resistance in childhood. Methods:The serum resistin and adiponectin concentration was measured in 34 obeses children and 31 normal subjects by ELISA. We also measured the anthropometries measurement of all subjects. Assessed insulin resistinance, fasting glucose, fasting insulin by OGTT in obese subjects, normal subjects measured fasting glucose and fasting insulin. Calculated the correlativity of resistin, adiponectin and other parameters. Results:1. The SBP, DBP, BMI, BF%, WHR, skinfold thickness and the sum of waist, scapular, biceps skinfold thickness(SF) of obese subjects were higher than normal subjects. The fasting glucose fasting insulin HOMA-R of obese subjects were higher than normal subjects .2. The serum resistin concentration of obese subjects were 25.99±13.18μg/L,those of normal subjects were 19.59±14.00μg/L; The serumadiponectin concentration of obese subjects were 2.81±1.75 mg/L, those of normal subjects were 4.99±3.89 mg/L.The serum resistin concentration in obese subjects were higher than normal subjects (P <0.05) ;and the serum adiponectin concentration in obese subjects were lower than normal subjects (P <0.001) .3. The serum resistin concentration was no significantly correlated with. sex, age,SBP and DBP; was positively significantly correlated with BMI, BF%, WHR and SF(r =0.299,r -0.304,r =0.322 and r =0.285,P<0.01);and positively significantly correlated with FPG ,FINS,HOMA-R ( r =0.299,r =0.303, r =0.324,P<0.05); No significantly correlated with HOMA-p.The serum adiponectin concentration was no significantly correlated with sex, age; was negatively significantly correlated with SBP,DBP BMI,BF%, WHR and SF (r =-0.369,r =-0.405, r =-0.330,r =-0.318, r =-0.282 and r = -0.350, PO.01); and negatively significantly correlated with FPG ,FINS,HOMA-R ( r =-0.264 fB r =-0.357 r =-0.369,P<0.05); No significantly correlated with HOMA-p.4. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to determine correlation coefficient between resistin, adiponectin and various parameters. Only HOMA-R was enter the equation. For resistin, J?2=0.105,the standard partial coefficient was 0.324(/'<0.01). For adiponectin, /?2=0.136,the standard partial coefficient was-0.369(/'<0.01).5. Logistic regression analysis was used to determine correlation coefficient between AN and various parameters. The equation: AN=-11.407+1.8271nHOMA+0.410BMI.Conclusions:1. The SBP^ DBP^ BML BF%^ WHR, skinfold thickness and the sum of waist, scapular, biceps skinfold thickness (SF) of obese subjects were higher than normal subjects. The fasting glucose, fasting insulin, HOMA-R of obese subjects...
