Recently, as the study about acromegaly and GH deficiency are embed, human have known the important effect of growth hormone that maintain normal construction and function of heart. Meantime just as the advance of the gene engineering technology and product a great deal r-GH through DNA technique, it is possible for GH to be used abroad and security in clinic, consequently, it has more practice significance to continue exploitation and investigation GH. Growth hormone has the functions of controlling growth in stature﹑adjusting metabolism﹑body composition﹑the function of musculi skeleti and the mental state, the parasecretion of the growth hormone will induce complicate clinic syndrome. Reportedly, the mortality of cardiovascular keeping close watch on GH deficiency, and the course is heart failure similarity an exhibition of dilated cardiomyopathy. To identify whether the growth hormone has adverse reactions such as influence on the histology of cardiac muscle, impairment of cardiac function and disorder action of the metabolism; whether the low secretor state of growth hormone will influence the heart function, the detail jobs are as follows: By use of retrospective method to analyze the clinical data of 36 patients suffered from pituitary tumor, investigate the impact of GH hypo-secretion on the heart. The group of patients with disease: 18 patients of all 36 are positive in electrocardiogram; 8 of 36 patients are checked by heart ultrasonic diagnostic set, 2 cases are positive; 9 of 36 cases are checked by chest X-ray, 4 cases are positive. The control group: 8 of 36 are positive in electrocardiogram; 10 of 36 cases are checked by heart ultrasonic diagnostic set, 2 cases are positive; 20 of 36 cases are checked by chest X-ray, 2 cases are positive. The differences between the two groups are obvious, P<0.05. Conclusion is: the low secretor state of growth hormone will influence the heart function. We alternatived 18 Wistar maleness rats and divided them into growth group﹑somatostatin group and normal control group. The hr-GH group administrated at a muscular dose of 0.63 IU/kg(0.1ml/kg) per day for 15days, the somatostatin group administrated at a dose of 0.315mg/kg(0.1ml/kg), an equal amount normal saline is administrated for control group. The result show: the weight is increaser in growth group than other two groups of normal and somatostatin (P<0.01), the weight is lower in somatostatin than normal group(P<0.01);but organ weight/body weight was not obviously different in three groups (P>0.01). The serum levels of GH were determined by immuno-radiometric assay in three groups. The level of GH is increaser in growth group than other two groups of normal and somatostatin (P<0.01), the level of GH in somatostatin is lower than normal group (P<0.01); the level of insulin in growth group is increaser than other two groups of normal and somatostatin, the level of insulin in somatostatin is lower than normal group, but there was not obviously different in three groups (P>0.05);the blood sugar level in growth group is increaser than other two groups of normal and somatostatin (P<0.05), the blood sugar level in somatostatin is lower than normal, but there was not obviously different in two groups(P>0.05);...
