Effects Of Aspergillus Sydowi Abstraction Products On The Proliferation Of Human Lung Squamous Carcinoma Cell Line

Lung cancer is nowadays one of the most common human malignant tumors throughout the world, the incidence and death rate of which stays in the leading place among all sorts of human cancers in most country and shows the ongoing tendency of increasing. Chemotherapy is still the most important treatment for cancer, while the therapeutic effection is dissatisfying. So it's urgent for us to search for new effective medicines in cancer therapy. In 2001, we adopted a patient with removed squamous carcinoma in the inferior lobe of right lung who had gotten respiratory fungi infection which is the first case of obstructing bronchial aspergillosis caused by Aspergillous sydowi. We found that during the lasting infection period of more than 2 years the patient showed no signs of cancer recurrence while shortly after the cure of Aspergillous infection, both cancer recurrence and metastasis happened. We thus assumed that Aspergillous sydowi and its products may have inhibitive effect on the proliferation of lung squamous carcinoma cell. There is no relative report till now. In this research, we took human lung squamous carcinoma cell line—SK-MES1 as study object, cell culture, MTT examine, FCM analysis and DNA agarose gel electrophoresis were used to investigate the effects of Aspergillous sydowi products on the growth of SK-MES1 cell.Objective: To study the effects of Aspergillous sydowi products on the proliferation of SK-MES1 cell and elucidate part of the possible mechanism.
