Objective To observe the expression of Th1 versus Th2 type cytokines in pancreatic carcinoma tissues, and discuss the development regulation and clinical significance of pancreatic carcinoma patients. Methods Using IFN-γ and IL-2 as Thl type cytokines, IL-4 and IL-10 as Th2 type cytokines. The respectable pancreatic carcinoma tissues of 45 patients was stained with PV-9000 polymer detection system for immuno-histological staining of immunohistochemistry and DAB coloration kit, to detect the expression of Thl/Th2 type cytokines in pancreatic carcinoma tissues. The control group is 10 normal pancreas tissues from normal adult ptoma of abnormal death. Using the known positive section as the positive criteria, PBS displaces primary antibody as negative criteria. Results The expression of IFN-γ and IL-2 in pancreatic carcinoma tissues had no significant difference with normal pancreatic tissues (IFN-γ: P =0.596 > 0.05; IL-2: P =0.146 > 0.05), which prove the expression of Thl type cytokines had no significant difference with normal pancreatic tissues. The expression of IL-4 and IL-10 in pancreatic carcinoma tissues was significantly higher than the normal pancreatic tissues (IL-4: P =0.022 <0.05; IL-10: P =0.023 < 0.05), which prove the expression of Th2 type cytokines was significantly higher than the normal pancreatic tissues. The expression of Th2 type cytokines has significant correlation with the degree of differentiation of pancreatic carcinoma, and which intensifies in the pancreatic carcinoma of poor differentiation. Conclusion The expression pattern of Th2 type cytokines was predominant in the pancreatic carcinoma tissues, and which restrain the anti-tumor immune response of the body. The expression of Th2 type cytokines has correlation with the degree of differentiation of pancreatic carcinoma, from which we can know the pancreatic carcinoma patients' immune state and providing the clinical treatment evidence of correcting Th1/Th2 drift.
