Background: Chronic Pelvic Inflammatory Disease is a kind of commonly and frequently encountered disease in gynecology. It disturbs numerous women and threatens them with health. Nowadays the treatment therapy of PID is to control the inflammation and release the physiological symptoms, but it does little role in the sequelae and some psychological symptoms such as neurasthenia and depressive state. Modern medicine emphasizes a whole pattern of organism —mentality—behavior—society. On some treatment therapy of chronic diseases, people become to pay attention to the role of multiple behavior interference including interfering life-style and mentality of patients in recovery and improving the quality of life. This put new question before us to treat CPID.Objective: To study the role of strengthening multiple behavior interference in adjustment of physiological and psychological state and the improving of QOL of patients who suffered from CPID, and to evaluate the effect of strengthening multiple behavior interference on CPID treatment. Then form a behavior therapy of CIPD initially.Methods: 200 PID patients are selected in the study, which were treated in inpatient-department of Guangdong Hospital of TCM and judged recovery or having significant effect. They are divided into interference group (including 103 cases) and control group (including 97 cases) randomly. The patients in interference group are interfered with their mentality and life behavior, but the patients in control group are not interfered.The scores of symptoms, syndromes and QOL (including six fields of PHYS, PSYCH, IND, SOCIL, ENVIR and DOME) before and after interference are added up in each group.
