The research studies the curative effect of applying different frequencies on the electronic acupuncture unit using jia ji acupoints in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation. Tests such as CT scan and hemorrheology were performed to evaluate its effectiveness.A total of 60 patients were diagnosed with lumbar disc herniation according to the diagnostic standards stated in Zhao's "Surgery of the Spine", in combination with the patients' medical history, clinical symptoms and medical images. They underwent group-stratified randomization, which broke them down into a treatment and controlled group. The treatment group which totaled 30 patients were treated using alternating waves at a frequency of 20 times per minute on a G-6805 electronic acupuncture unit. The controlled group, which also totaled 30 patients, were treated equally but at a frequency of 14 times per minute. The two groups had treatment once a day for two courses of treatment with a 3-day break in between. Ten days equal one treatment During the course of treatment, the patients' clinical symptoms and change in range of motion were observed. According to the Nation's Diagnostic Standards, a patient is clinically recovered when the pain disappears, the straight leg raising (SLR) test scores more than 70 and normal range of motion is resumed. The treatment is effective when the pain is reduced and the range of twisting motion is improved, and it is said to be ineffective when clinical symptoms has no improvement at all. The McGill Pain Questionnaire was used in this study to assess quantitative measures of clinical pain before and after acupuncture treatment It consists primarily of three major classes of word descriptors - sensory, affective and evaluative - that are used by patients to specify subjective pain experience, and also contains an intensity scale of 1-5 to classify the degree of pain. After treatment, each patient ran a CT scan and hemorrheology test after treatment The treatment group had a total effective rate of 96.67%, with 16 clinically recovered, 8 markedly effective, 5 effective and...
