Discussion Of The Technique Of 16-slice Spiral CT Coronary Angiography

Objective: To discuss the technique of 16-slice spiral CT coronary angiography. Materials and Methods: 122 patients underwent MSCT coronary angiography examination with GE 16-slice CT scanner. The protocol of Cardiac Segment or Burst was applied, with 1.25mm slice thickness, helical pitch 0.375:1 , contrast media (Ultravist 370) injected intravenously (1.5-2.0ml/kg) at the speed of 4.0-4.5ml/s. The reconstruction methods including multiplanner reconstruction(MPR),curved planner reconstruction(CPR), maximum intensity projection(MIP) and volume rendering(VR) were used to display each coronary artery.Results: Three coronary arteries were showed well and the quality of imaging fulfilled the diagnosis when heart rate was less than 70 beats per minute and less changes. And LAD, LCX, RCA were shown well at 75% R-R interval when heart rate changed less.Conclusion: Under the optimal condition, good coronary artery image quality can be obtained with MSCT angiography. MSCT coronary angiography could be applied for screening of coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, and the follow-up of post-operation as well as graft vessels and stents.
