| Objective: It is well known that diabetes is an important risk factor for cerebral infarction and the relative risk degree to complicated with cerebral infarction for patient with diabetes is 2-3 times as much as that of patients without diabetes. With the increase of old population and the rise of proportion of patient with 2 type diabetes, type 2 diabetes complicated with cerebral infarction has become a common disease which can threaten the human's life and health. more and more attention should be paid to diabetes because it can bring heavily negative influence to our society and families with severely neurological defects ,bad prognosis and higher mortality. In order to study the clinical features of type 2 diabetes complicated with cerebral infarction, a control study was performed to investigate the clinical biochemistry,dementia ,depression ,neurological function defect score and image of 258 patients with cerebral infarction, so as to provide scientific evidences for clinical doctor in clinical preventing and treating of type 2 diabetes complicated with cerebral infarction . Methods : All objects studied were 258 patients with final diagnosis of cerebral infarction who were hospitalized in the department of neurology of the second affiliated hospital of Dalian Medical University form April 2004 to December 2004 and were checked with CT or MRI .All patients were divided into two groups :diabetes group and non-diabetes group(contrast group), according to whether with type 2 diabetes or not. A control study was performed to investigate two groups patients in the empty stomach blood sugar ,dementia ,depression ,degree of neurological function and imageological feature. Result : (1)The incidence rates of hypertension and depression in diabetes group are significantly higher than those in non-diabetes (P<0.05).(2)The incidence rates of dementia and severe type score of neurological function in diabetes group are also prominently higher than those in non-diabetes(P < 0.01), whereas there were no significant difference in age ,light and moderate neurological function defect between two groups . (3)The proportions of multiple infarction and massive infarction in diabetes group were remarkably higher than those in non-diabetes group( P<0.05). Nevertheless, there were no significant difference with respect of lacuna cerebral infarction ,mixed stroke and hemorrhagic cerebral infarction between two groups. But the lacuna cerebral infarction in two groups is significant higher than other infarction type . (4)The locations of cerebral infarction have no marked difference between two groups. Conclusion : (1)That incidence rate of cerebral infarction among diabetes is higher is concerned to lesion of microvessel,lesion of great vessel ,abnormal hemorheology and abnormal anticoagulation and fibrinolysis secondary to disorder of metabolism.(2)Massive,multiple were the imageological feature of cerebral infarction in diabetes(.3)Severe neurological defects always go with cerebral infarction in diabetes.(4)Diabetes mellitus is an important risk factor for vascular dementia (VD()5)The incidence rate of Post-stroke depression in diabetes is significant higher than that in non-diabetes. |
