| Objective: Fissistigma oldhamii(Hemsl.)Merr. is a plant of Fissistigma Ggriff., primarily distributed in zhejiang, Fujian, Taiwan, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangdong, Hainan, Guangxi and Yunnan provinces. Its formal name is Haifengteng recorded in the book "Illustrated Treatise on the Botany of China" . The radix and rhizoma have been used as Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) which has the properties of expelling wind, removing moisture, promoting blood circulation, removing blood stasis and invigorating pulse-beat to relieve pain. It has been widely used as a folk TCM to cure arthritis, chest pain, stomach pain and all kinds of injuries. In order to find the bioactive constituents, we made a system isolation study on the chemical constituents of F.oldhamii..Method: (1)By investigating the literatures and on the basis of micro-structure identification technology, we made herbal verification and pharmacognosy study of F.oldhamii. (2)Combing with the silica gel column, Pharmadex LH-20 column and preparative thin layer chromatography technology, we made a system isolation study on the constituents of F.oldhamii.. On the basis of physical-chemical constants and spectral data(UV,IR,EI-MS,1NMR,13C-NMR,DEPXHMQC), eight compounds were identified. (3)According to the cell experiment in vitro, we discussed about the pharmacological activity of the pure compounds isolated from F.oldhamii..Result: By means of those work, we considered that the herb "Haifengteng" which was recorded in "Illustrated Treatise on the Botany of China" was just Fissistigma oldhamii (Hemsl.)Merr.. Nine compounds were isolated from F.Oldhamii.. On the basis of physical-chemical constants and spectral data (UV,IR,EI-MS, 1H-NMR,13C-NMR,DEPT, HMQC), these compounds were identified as: O-methylflavinantine ( I), Aristolactam A II( II ), O-methylmoschatoline(III), Oxoxylopine(IV), 7-oxocrebanine(V), Physcion(VI), β-sitosterol(VII), Daucosterol(DC) , the structure of compound VIII is in progress.
