Purpose: Using social psychology approach to examine the Oriental Medicine diagnosis and syndrome distribution pattern and correlation factors of current Area of Taiwanese professional women under psychological stress. Analyze and compare the similarities or differences of mainland professional women and Area of Taiwan professional women. Method: Uses the epidemiology investigation method.Tool: The use of psychological stress related indicators plus self-made schedule of information acquisition of TCM four physical examinations. Area of Taiwan group portion: 312 collected valid questionnaires are screened by a standard and 215 are selected that matches the psychological stress questionnaire profile.The mainland group portion: 2870 collected valid questionnaires are screened by a standard and 2156 are selected that matches the psychological stress questionnaire profile. The mainland stressed women group portion: From the valid 1,183 positive psychological stress reaction forms, random samples of 293 are selected that have comparable conditions with the Area of Taiwan group. The following analysis are made using statistics1.Statistical comparative analysis of correlating factors (stressor, mediating factors) between the Area of Taiwan professional women and the mainland group. 2.Comparative analysis of the correlations of Oriental Medicine syndromes and psychological stress of Area of Taiwan professional women and the mainland group. 3.Statistical distributions of Oriental Medicine syndromes of Area of Taiwan professional women. Conclusion:1. The result of statistical analysis and comparative analysis between mainland and Area of Taiwan professional women psychological stress correlation factors (stressor, mediatingfactors) using 312 subjects are as follows:(1) 215 subjects or 68.91% have stress reactions (stressed group), 97 subjects or 31.09% does not have stress reactions (unstressed group).The amount of education received of the two groups shows minor deviation (P>0.05), indicating no correlation between stress and education level. Marital status between the two groups also shows deviation (P<0.05), indicating stress in single individuals is proportionally higher.(2) On SCL-90, factors of somatization, Area of Taiwan stressed group scored higher than the mainland stressed women group, demonstrating significant implication (P<0.01), suggesting the Area of Taiwan stressed group perceptive distress of the body is more substantial.On SDS, SAS standardized results, Area of Taiwan stressed group scored lower than the mainland stressed women group, demonstrating significant implication (P<0.01), suggesting perceptive depression and anxiety are lower in the Area of Taiwan stressed group.(3) LES investigation shows stress reaction in Area of Taiwan professional women that indicated positive to existing stressors are as high as 70.70%, noticeably higher than the normal population, demonstrating high psychological stress.(4) Comparison of the stressors between the two stressed women groups demonstrated that Area of Taiwan stressed group has relatively more negative life events and perhaps the ability to withstand these life events is lower than the mainland stressed women group.(5) Stress mediating factor comparison: Area of Taiwan stressed group indicated lower support from the society than the mainland stressed women group, demonstrating psychological stressed Area of Taiwan professional women feel less support from the society and the family than the mainland stressed women group.In terms of responses and reactions, Area of Taiwan stressed group generally respond more in the positive and proactive segment. Equal numbers are shown in the negative and passive segment from both groups.In terms of personality and characteristics, the Area of Taiwan stressed group scores less in the P factor and N factor compared to the mainland stressed women group (P < 0.01), signifying that the emotional instability is greater in the mainland professional women.
