Study On Structuring New Rural Health Service System In Jiangsu Province

Objectives: To learn rural health system situation in Jiangsu Province, rural inhabitant health service need, demand and utilization; to explore the rule of rural health system operation under new rural economy status and market economy system, and the factors impacting health service provision and utilization in rural areas; finally to structure a theoretical framework of rural health system to provide health administrative sectors with evidence for decision-making in health reform and development.Methodologies: Use the multi-stage clustered sampling method to investigate rural health facilities and households. The data include general information of health service organizations and rural household health as well. Descriptive analysis is applied for resident health need, demand and utilization, and multi-variable logistic regression is used to analyze the factor impacting on health service use of rural people.Results: The local economic difference affects the rural health development; Government health investment is insufficient, and the orientation of investment is improper. Totally health system efficiency is in the low level, and rural health is difficult to meet people's health need and demand. The foundation of rural health security system is good, but the degree of security needs to be improved. Traditional rural health system has restricted health development.
