Objective To investigate the effects of chemistry therapy with M -TX, DDP/ADM on prognosis in adults with osteosarcoma. Methods thirty-six subjects (6 cases with amputation,8 cases with amputation+che -mistry-therapy,l 5 cases with limb salvage and 7 cases with limb salvage +chemistry-therapy.) were followed up for at least three years to investig -ate their two years and three years survival rates. Then we compare the d -ifferent survival rates of the groups with different therapy to see if there are obvious statistical differences. Results The two years and three yea -rs survival rates of the group with amputation are 67% and 50%,amputa -tion+chemistry therapy are 75% and 63%,limb salvage are 60% and 40 %,limb salvage+chemistry therapy are 71% and 57%.there is no obvious statistical difference between the group of chemistry and non-chemistry-therapy.Conclusion The effects of chemistry therapy with MTX, MTX , DDP/ADM in adults with osteosarcoma is still not confirmed.in order to confirmed it,we should increase the numbers of samples and prolong the follow up.
