| GuiZhi Decoction (GZD) comes from Treatise on cold Pathogenic Diseases and is used to treat syndrome of affection of Taiyang by wind. Enxept for exogenous disease, this formula is effective in various kinds of descase, such as internal, gynecology and pediatrics desease, etc. The main reasons is GZD not only can harmonize Yinfen and Yangfen, but also has the effects of expelling blood for removing abstruction in chanel and coordinating yin and yany.Objective: to study and explore the effect of GZD or dredging obstruction and blockage in channel, for the applitacion scope expanding of GZD.Method: Blood stasis model was set by hypodermic adrenalia and ice-water stimulation among big rats. All tte rats were divided into modeling group, controlling group, treated group and void group. The changes of hemorheological parameters were obserned.Results: GZD can decrease the blood viscosities at high, medinm and low shear rates (BVH, BVM, BVL) separately as well as plasma viscosity(PV) (P<0.05).Conclusion: GZD can decrease BV of blood stasis modelling big rats. It indicates that GZD has certain protecting effects on blood stasis syndrome which is induced by vessel contraction when cold stimulation and drugs were used. GZD can decrease the BU of blood stasis modelling big rats. This shows GZD has the effect in treat ment of the increase of BV of blood stasis. GZD can decrease the BV under the physiological condition of big rats it shows this drug can prevent the increase of BV. GZD has little effect on blood picture as well as little byeffect on gastroenter on short, it's safe.
