Objective To investigate the correlation between the etiology and clinical characteristics of subarachnoid hemorrhage in adults aged 15 to 59 years. Methods Medical records, including risk factors, preomonitory symptoms and the mode of onsets, early symptoms clinical presentations ,cerebral spinal fluid(CSF)and findings of neuroimaginging as CT and DSA,were analyzed in 50 SAH patients. Results Among the 50 patients,15 cases have the history of smoking and 10 cases have the history of drinking. 23(46%)show preomonitory symptoms before the onset such as headache of different degree with or without uniophthalomolegia , mental disorder and amaurosis occasionally, descent of the sight gradually and neck pain from 3 to 40 days. The most commom symptom is severe headache with nausea and vomit. DSA findings displays 32(64%)aneurysm,6(12%)arteriovenous malformation,1(2%)dural arteriovenous fistula, arteriovenous malformation with neoplasia dilataltion and Moyamoya disease,10(20%)are negative. Conclusion There are many etiologies of SAH of the middlaged and the young .The most commom cause is aneurysm disruption .We should ques cause of the negtivities showed by DSA. Smoking and drinking are the most impotant risk factors .We should think highly of the warning symptom and undenwent related examination in time .We can suspect the location of the disease according to clinical features and findings of CT .
