Objective To investigate factors associated with higher risk of death after subarachnoid hemorrhage resulting from posterior communicating aneurysm. Methods 76 patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage resulting from posterior communicating aneurysm were enrolled in this research. All patients were divided into death group (N=9) and survival group (N=67). Compare Age, blood glucose, hemoglobin, Hunt-Hess grade, GCS between the two groups using case control study method. Results Proportion of patients with Hunt-Hess grade≥IV was higher in death group(55.6%) than that was in survival group(9.0%). Average GCS was lower in death group (8.44) than in survival group (14.03). Average blood glucose was higher in death group (7.74 mmol/L) than in survival group(6.38 mmol/L). Age and hemoglobin of the two groups showed no difference. Conclusion Patients with higher Hunt-Hess grade, higher blood glucose, lower GCS have a higher rate of death after subarachnoid hemorrhage resulting from posterior communicating aneurysm.
