Objective: Hypertension is a common clinical cardiovas- cular disease. To treat it, traditional Chinese medicine and modern medicine each shows a unique quality and has difference therapeutic effects. The experiment tried to approach the depressurization mechanism of the Huoxuejiangyafang through observing the function of depressurization and analyzing a series of indicatrix, and give some theorical evidence to control and the development of hypertension,to prevent and cure the disease. Methods: 32 spontaneous hypertensive rats (SHR), the female and the male were equal, weight from 200g to 250g, blood pressure between 135 mmHg and 170 mmHg, were randomly divided into the model group(which was abbreviated to "M group"), the low-dose Huoxuejiangyafang group(which was abbreviated to "L group"), the high-dose Huoxuejiang- yafang group(which was abbreviated to "H group") and the captopril control group(which was abbreviated to "C group"). At the same time, buying 8 Wistar rats, weight from 200g to 250g, regarded as the normal group(which was abbreviated to "N group"). After adaptive feeding a day, beginning the experiment. The rats of H group and L group were lavaged with Huoxuejiangyafang decoction at the same time in the day every. C group were lavaged with captopril solution everyday, N group and M group were lavaged with distilled water; All of the rats were fed with tap water and common animal feeds. The whole process was 4 weeks. Expectively at pre-experiment, the first week, the second week, the third week, the forth week, measuring all the rats' blood pressure, every rat was measured 3 times, Using the average as the actual blood pressure. At the same time, observing all the rats' color pattern, irritation, and drinking. At the end of the experiment, Using the radio- immunity to determinate the content of the ALD, AngⅡ, TXB2, 6-keto-PGI1α, ANP, ET and NO in blood plasma; Using the semiautomatic biochemistric instrument to metry the content of the HDL-C,LDL-C,TC,TG.Results1 the common praxiology performance of all the ratsDuring the whole experiment, the rats' color pattern of N group was luster, the eyes and activity were nimble, and having sensitive reflection; The SHR were unnimble thin, thirsty, cocking tail, screaming, and aggressive. After the treatment, the rats of H group and L group become well and their pelage become bright.2 Effect of Huoxuejiangyafang on rats' blood pressure2.1 Before the treatment, the rats' blood pressureBefore the treatment, the rats' blood pressure of M group (156.84±16.36), H group(157.09±5.51), L group(156.09±8.49) and C group(156.51±9.03) was higher than that of N group (88.93±6.92)(P<0.01).2.2 After the treatment, the rats' blood pressure After 1 or 2 weeks treatment, compared with M group (161.13±15.27, 163.09±14.47) rats' blood pressure, that of H group(139.84±11.18, 114.36±6.33), L group(133.73±12.54, 106.46±5.33) and C group(99.70±12.27, 95.50±11.25) all descent obviously(P<0.01), but the effect of C group is better than that of L dose group and H group(P<0.01). During the third week, the blood pressure of the L group(97.71±4.97),H group (101.94±6.06) and C(92.29±11.01) was lower than that of M group (170.50±13.28)(P<0.01), but the effect of L group was not better than C group(P<0.01), and there was no difference between L dose group and C group(P>0.05). After 4 weeks treatment, the blood pressure of M group(174.25±13.17) was higher than that of L group(93.56±3.90),H group (94.83±5.62) and C group (87.34±8.81)(P<0.01), and no differ- ence emerged among the four groups(P>.05).3 Effect of Huoxuejiangyafang on the SHR's lipid metabolism3.1 Effect of Huoxuejiangyafan on SHR's CHO amd TGThe M group rats' CHO(3.02±0.34) and TG(2.31±0.27) were obviously increased compared with the N group (1.45± 0.24, 0.42±0.09)(P<0.01); After treatment, compared with the M group, that of the L group (2.22±0.20, 0.91±0.13),H group (2.25±0.39, 0.97±0.18)(P<0.05) and the C group(2.30±0.26, 1.58±0.27...
