Mastopathy is one kind of female common disease. It always happens to mid-aged women with symptoms such as pain and nodes of breasts and exudation of nipples etc. Pain of breasts offten correlate to menstrual cycle, which aggravate before menstruation and relieves after that. The pain may be severe, and some tablets of analgesic are in need. The nodes of breasts often impose exausting psycological burden on the patients. The symptoms of breast hyperplasia inflict severe negative effects on the patients in their business and even daily life. The original cause of breast hyperplasia is still obscure. Varieties of therapies have emerged to deal with it. However, unfortunatly, few of them works well. The side effects of chemical therapy are obvious. How to settle the problem of therapy, relieve the patients'suffering as much as possible, and help them to get through the disease has become a hot target of researches in this field.Currently, instead of specific therapy, supporting therapies play critical roles in treating breast hyperplasia. In the past years, various medcine and therapies including Chinese medcine, western medcine, therapies combining Chinese and western medcine and varieties of physical treatments have been proposed one after another.MethodsTamoxifen (Jiang Shu Province,Yang Zhi Jiang company producted) is one kind of medcine, which vies for ER on target cells and block estrogen's effect so as to counteract tumor and breast hyperplasia. In light-electro-ion(TYPE.VLH-6100,Bei Jing,Wei Li Heng company producted) therapy, the ions of Chinese traditional herbal medcine are directed to lesions of breasts, and infared rays precipitate human body's absorption of medcine ions, which promote metablism and nutritious condition of local tissuesIn this study, 68 patients with mastopathy were divided into 2 groups randomly. The 2 groups were treated with tamoxifen or light-electro-ion therapy respectively. Tamoxifen Group{ group 1) took tamoxifen lOmg ,2 times a day for a period of 5- 20 days(corresponding to menstrual period) since the 7th day after menstrual period. Group 1 received 3 periods of treatment. In the program of Light-electro-ion therapy group (group 2), tablets of ru kang pian were crumbled, put on 2 larger charges of Light-electro-ion therapy instrument, and then attached to the skin over breast lesions Receiving heat radiation of infrared, capillaries in deep tissues of human body were expanded where blood circulation was increased and accelerated so that the absorption of medicine ions could be improved. Group 2 received Light-electro-ion therapy of 30 min every 2 days for 15 times in each period of treatment. The treatment lasted 3 periods.Result:1.Clinical effect:Groupl. after 2 weeks or so, pain was alleviated obviously. 1 month later, pain was quenched, and abnormal secretion of nipples was stopped with breast nodes turning softer. To a great extent, all of the symptoms of group 1 were relieved within 2 months.Group 2: pain in breasts was relieved obviously, and the nodes turned softer after 1 month of Light-electro-ion treatment; breast pain vanished, but nodes still existed without considerable changes after 2 months of such treatment. When comparison between the 2 therapies was made, the difference of curative effect was significant. (P <0.005)2.side effect:Group 1: the major side effect is abnormal menses,Such as menstrual flow>80ml,menstrual period>7days 4 cases(11.76%);increasing leucorrhoea 3 cases(8.82%);amenorrhvea 1 cases(2.94%);flushing 1 cases(2.94%);nausea and vomit 1 cases(2.94%).Because side effects are not severe, no patients need a pause or any other special treatment.Group 2:no side effect. 3.FoIlowing-up results:28 among 34 patients of group 1 (Following-up rate: 82.35%) were enlisted in the job. The following-up periods ranged from 3 months to 1.5 years. Finally, symptoms relapsed in 5 cases (14.71%). However, the recurrent cases were still sensitive to tamoxifen.26 among 34 patients of group 2 (Following-up rate: 76.47%) joined in the following...
