Serial Studies On Diagnose And Treatment Of Multiple Injuries Of Bone And Joint

[Objective] 1.To investigate the epidemiologicalcharacteristics and familiar reasons of multiple traumas in the trauma patients. 2. To analyses the familiar location and characteristics of multiple traumas. 3. To investigate some ways and methods to reduce complication .morbidity and mortality of multiple traumas based on the reason . 4. To summarize the best methods , experiences and opportunity of treatment and to give some important direction and base for the following clinic work according to the summarizes of success and failure on the treatment of multiple traumas.[Methods] 1 Retrospectively studied the data of all the patients admitted to the Department of Trauma and Orthopedic in NanFang Hospital during Jan. 2000 to Dec. 2002, summimg up and analyzing the data according to our aim. 2. Analyzing the epidemiological characteristics, clinic characteristics and treatment methods with summing up all the data using statistic methods. 3. Overfllowing the patients and analyzing the data to get the merit and defect of different treatment .[Results] 1 The percentage of multiple trauma in all patients of admitting to hospital is 11.4%, most of the them are youth (18-60y)which percentage is 78. 6% , the highest frequency age is 18-40y, which percentage is62. 1%. Males are more than females, which scale is 4:1.The reason of traumas is traffic accidents, smashing trauma of heavy body, falling trauma from high altitude and other reasons in turn. 2> The average number of trauma is 2. 3 (from 2 to 6), the most frequency is 2 locations which percentageseparately is69. 9%(21ocations), 24.0%(31ocations), 5. 8%(41ocations), 0. 3%(6 locations). Familiar location of trauma is shaft of tibia and fibula, shaft of thigh, shaft of ulna and ridius, ankle and foot, chest, knee, coax, pelvis, wrist and hand, shoulder, skull, shoulder bone, spine and elbow in turn. The familiar complication and accompanying trauma is shock, trauma of skull and brain, trauma of chest, trauma of nerve and vessel , fat embolism, trauma of organ in abdomen and trauma of urine system. 3. Emphasizing the treatment before and after the hospital can decrease the mortality and improve the quality of treatment. 4 The effect of early treatment is better than delayed treatment , internal fixation is done in 72h is better than after 72h, which can improve the function and reduce the complication menacing life.[Conclusion] 1 We can reduce the morbidity of multiple traumas according to some methods, such as strengthening the building, managing and educating of traffic rules. 2. We can reduce the mortality according to emphasizing the effect of first of pre-hospital. 3. We can improve the scale of nicety and reduce error in diagnose , and improve the scale of success in treatment, and reduce mortality according to strengthen fostering the personal and improve the work of treatment in all phase of the hospital. 4. Early internal fixation is the best method to treat multiple traumas .which can reduce complication and improve function effectively.5. We should observe carefully to prevent some complication such as FES, ARDS and thrombus in deep vein. 6. Strengthening initiative and passive exercise can improve the quality of treatment and the function of the patients.
