Objective:To explore the efficacy of using hinged external fixator combined with internal fixations in treating instability of the elbow after acute injury, which provides the reference and basis for treatment in instability of the elbow after acute injury.Methods:19 cases of elbow joint instability after acute elbow joint injury in No.1 Hospital of Jilin University from July 2015 to September 2017 were followed up.According to the type of fracture by adopting different elbow approaches, the author interviews people who apply complex fracture dislocation caused by the application of hinged elbow external fixator and internal fixations,or artificial radial head replacement in the treatment of elbow injury, and collects and analyzes data systematically. The patient’s information was collected through case history, telephone follow-up and follow-up review in hospital. The general clinical data such as gender, age and soft tissue condition were observed to analyze the healing of fracture after operation. And the authors use MEPS to assess the function of elbows. The measurement data were expressed by average plus or subtract standard deviation(?x±s).The SPSS 18 statistical software was used for analysis and processing. Results:The average age of all interviewee is 40.84 + 14.15 years(18~80 years)and the average time was 16.21 + 7.54 months(6~24 months). All fractures healed clinically. In the last follow-up MEPS system, the curative effect was evaluated in 9 cases, good in 6 cases and poor in 4 cases, with an excellent rate of 78.95%.Conclusions:Application of elbow hinge external fixator and internal fixation or prosthesis replacement for complex dislocation fracture caused by elbow injury is an effective way to restore elbow stability and early functional exercise, and patients with poor dependence are relatively poor in long-term elbow’s function. |
