| Objective:To research the clinical curative effect and function mechanism of Tongbi Granule in treating Unstable Angina (UA) .Methods:70 cases of UA belong to the syndrome of Qi deficiency and sputum block and blood stasis Were randomly divided into treatment group(36 cases)and control group (34 cases). Conventional Western medical therapy was given to both groups.At the same time, the treatment group recived Tongbi granule and the control group recived Yangxinshi. All cases have been maken systemical observations respectively. Simultaneously the influence of Tongbi guanule on animal models were observed in experimental study. Results: In the treatment group, the total effective rate of ameliorating symptoms, relieving angina and improving ECG were significantly better than those of the control group; Meanwhile, the level of TXB2.ET-1, ηbL, η P, TC, LDL-C were decreased and the level of NO, HDL-C, PLT were increased remarkably after treatment, which were statistically different compared with those of the control group. Animal experiments showed that Tongbi Granule had the effect of increasing the cardiac muscle cell membrane' s fluidity and the ability of anti-hypoxia, reducing the platelet aggregation rate and increasing SOD to inhibit MDA in rat serum. Conclusions: Qi deficiency and sputum block and blood stasis is the basic cause of UA. Tongbi Granule with the therapeutic method of supplementing Qi and dispelling sputum and quickening blood has the evident effect on UA.
