The Study On The System Of Differential Diagnosis According To The Theory Of Triple Warmer--The History Of The Triple Warmer Diagnosis System Is Discussed Also

The differential diagnosis according to the theory of triple warmer is an important apart of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) differential diagnosis system. It has high value in TCM's clinical work.It is extensively used in the diagnosis for internal diseases other than those caused by exogenous evil. But now it is only considered to be used in diagnosis for seasonal febrile disease occurring immediately after the attack of exogenous evil. In this research, the literary methods are adopted. Based on the textual research of the theory in Song Dynasty about the differential diagnosis according to the theory of triple warmer, the history about this method is analyzed. It is found that, this diagnosis system can be used mainly in two aspects: the diagnosis for internal diseases and the diagnosis for seasoned febrile diseases. Before Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty, the triple warmer diagnosis system was mainly used in the diagnosis for internal diseases. The first work about it is Shang Han Za Bing Lun. After that, Sun Simiao and Wang Tao, two doctors of Tang Dynasty, also did many works to complete this system. On the basis of these remarkable doctors' works, the Song Dynasty doctors improved the Triple Warmer diagnosis system into a new level, especially embodied in the famous medical work: Sheng Ji Zong Lu. In this work, the Triple Warmer diagnosis system was widely used in the internal diseases. Sheng Ji Zong Lu analyzed the internal diseases with many systematic concepts such as: Han(cold), Re(heat), Xu (asthenia),Shi(sthenia) etc. Furthermore, it stated the diseases though the function of the solid and hollow organs. By this way, the doctors of Song Dynasty summarized the Triple Warmer diagnosis means into an integrated system. After that, doctors of Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty developed this system. They used this means mainly in the diagnosis forthe seasoned febrile diseases occurring immediately after the attack of exogenous evil. Furthermore, they got success. Among them, Wu Jutong is the most famous doctor in this period.Based on this research we could consider that: the Triple Warmer diagnosis system is a valued diagnosis means. It has high value both in the diagnosis of internal diseases and in the diagnosis of seasoned febrile diseases. It is a duty for us to do more works to make this research deeper.
