Objective To observe the different expression of S100A4, S100A8, S100A11 mRNA in carcinoma of endometrium, finding for the relationship between the S100A4, S100A8, S100A11 and the carcinoma of endometrium. The study can provide theoretical basis for judging the malignant degree and prognosis of carcinoma of endometrium. Methods The expression of S100A4, S100A8, S100A11 mRNA in the samples of 30 normal endometrium and 30 endometrial carcinoma of uterus were analyzed by semi-quantitive reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaclion(RT-PCR) .Results: S100A4 , S100A8, S100A11 mRNA in carcinoma of endometrium all had higher expression than they were in normal endometrium(P<0.05). The expression level of S100A4 ?S100A8 mRNA in less-differentiated group was higher than that of well- differentiated group. Moreover, the expression level in stage III, IV was higher than that of stage I , II. There was no obvious relationship between S100A11 and the different pathologic staging and different histological types of carcinoma of endometrium. Conclusions I.The S100A4 , S100A8, S100A11 were related with the evolution of the carcinoma of endometrium .2. S100A4 , S100A8 had relationship with the pathologic staging and different histological types of carcinoma of endometrium. It can be a observation index of the dignosis and prognosis of the carcinoma ofendometrium.Testing S100A4 , S100A8 had certain clinical value in appraising the malignant degree and prognosis of the carcinoma of endometrium.3. S100A11 had no relationship with the pathologic staging and different histological types of carcinoma of endometrium.4. The S100A4 , S100A8, SlOOAl1 had no relationship with the change of menstrual cycle and estrogen level.
