The Protective Effects Of Angelia Sinensis And Eucommia Ulmoides On Teratogenicity Of Differentiating Neurons Exposed To DBPs In Drinking Water | Posted on:2005-10-14 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:X P Tong | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2144360122498929 | Subject:Occupational and Environmental Health | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | To study the developmental toxicity and potential teratogencity of DCAA and TTHMs which are generally contained higher concentrations in disinfection byproducts (DBPs) in drinking water, we use the rat embryonic midbrain micromass culture in vitro and the environmental toxicology method to observe the inhibiting effects on proliferating and differentiating neurons. We also use these methods to observe whether the herbs Angelia sinensis and Eucommia ulmoides have toxicity or teratogenecity and their protective effects on teratogenicity on differentiating neurons exposed to potential teratogens in DBPs. These give experimental data to illustrate the mechanism of the potential developmental toxicity of DBPs in drinking water and the protective effects of the herbs at cellular level furtherly.
