The decoction of promoting bile secretion and expelling stone is constructed by the combination of clinical experience in treating cholecystolithiasis for a long time and the selection of the ancient prescription. The principle is based on the traditional Chinese medicine theory of differentiation. This article is about the clinical study of treating cholecystolithiasis. 60 cases cholecystolithiasis were divided into treatment and control group at random. Each group had 30 cases. The two groups were combined with the decoction and UDCA,respectively. The therapy course of each group was 2 months. We observed the situation of patients in expelling stone .clinical effect and the composition content of blood lipid. The result showed that the expelling stone rate of the treatment was 60%,the control was 10% , the treatment is superior to the control(P<0.01).In clinical effect, the overall effective rate of the treatment was 93.33%, the control was 33. 33%.The treatment is superior to the control. There were significant differences between the two groups (P<0.01). TC, HDL-C and LDL-C content of the blood lipid had significant improvement in the the treatment (P<0.05).The changement of blood lipid had no significant difference in the control (P>0. 05). There were significant differences between the two groups after the therapy(P<0. 05). It' s proved that the treatment is superior to the control in the improvement of blood lipid. The study showed that the decoction not only can clear away heat and promote diuresis but also promote bile secretion and expell stone. It is an ideal medicine of treating cholecystolithiasis.
