Tongue inspection is the significant content in traditional diagnostic methods, and is very important for therapy with syndrome differentiation. So it becomes the focus of studying to probe into the essence and science of tongue inspection. The study probed into the relationship between different color of tongue and pathological stages of hepatic fibrosis mainly from the points of the volume of lingual blood flow, blood rheology, and so on. The purpose is to provide the theory for diagnosing cirrhosis earlier and prescribing drugs correctly. From the points of clinical observation and experiment, we have detected some microtargets of the volume of lingual blood flow, of blood rheology, and so on, through using a Laser Chriscian Johan Doppler Meter. We found that the color of tongue changed according to the different pathological stages of hepatic fibrosis, the changes were relative to the volume and velocity of lingual blood flow. The study is very important for further research on tongue color of cirrhosis and also valuable for clinical diagnosis.
