A Clinical Observation On The Effect Of Yiyinkaiqiao Yin In Treatment Of The Patients With Primary Open-angle Glaucoma

Objective: To observe the effect of Yiyinkaiqiao yin in treatment of the patients with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). Methods: 1. Sixteen patients (24 eyes) with POAG were treated with Yiyinkaiqiao yin. The changes of visual acuity, visual field, intraocular pressure, P-VEP before and after treatment were observed. Moreover, the clinical therapeutic effect was observed by means of case-control study. Results: 1. The intraocular pressure and visual field were significantly improved as compared with pretreatment (P<0.05). 2.The clinical therapeutic effect was almost similar to that of the case-control group. Conclusion: 1. The therapeutic effect of Yiyinkaiqiao yin in treatment of the patients with POAG is identified. 2. Yiyinkaiqiao yin could reduce the intraocular pressure, ameliorate microcirculation and eliminate the oxygen free radicals. Therefore it could protect the optic never.
