Objective: We have studied Baizhu's effects of suppressing tumors and anti-metastasizing during our pretests. In order to discuss the mechanism further, we have respectively studied its effects from three aspects. Methods: First, We adopted the Kun ming pedigree mice inoculated with H22 liver cancer cells and S180 sarcoma cells in axilla subcutaneous tissue as the transplanting models to study the effect of tumors-suppressing. Second, We used the mice injected with H22 liver cancer cells in the caudal vein as the blood route metastasis models to study its effect of anti-metastasizing. Third, we discussed its exact mechanism from the principles of TCM and the data were gotten from advanced machines. Finally, we measured the gene expression of p53 and bcl-2 through confocal microscopy and we used picture-analysing instrument to dispose the data. Results: The results indicated that the effect of the treated groups were better than that of the control group. The study of its mechanism showed that Baizhu could raise the numeric value of helper T lymphocyte in the blood, moreover, it can significantly resist the expression of metastasis- associated gene p53 and bcl-2 in S180 sarcoma. Conclusion: Through the whole experiment, we made our conclusion that Baizhu can effectively suppress the growth and metastasis of tumors. The mechanism might be related with its action of improving the immunological function of the body with growing tumors, significantly influencing the expression of the metastasis-associated gene p53(wild type) and bcl-2, etc. But the study of hemorheology showed no statistics significance. So we will have to study its specific mechanism still further.
