Objective:To sumarize the clinical manifestations of pancreatic carcinoma (PC),enhance the clinical knowledge about early PC,and try to find out how to diagnose the early PC. Methods:By retrospective study (1991-2000),we analysed clinical datas of 124 patients with PC. Results:The patients aged 28-88years (average 63.9 years). 89 patients were males and 35 females. Abdominal pain(49.2%),jaundice(16.1%),epigastric discomfort (12.9%) were common initial symptoms. Abdominalgia (66.9%),weight loss (54.8%),jaundice (51.6%) were most complained during the course; Jaundice(51.6%),tenderness(41.1%),enlarged liver(29.0%) and abdominal mass(16.1%)were the main signs of PC; The elevation rate of GGT and ALP was 60.5% and 69.4% respectively; The positive rate of CEA and CA19-9 was 14.5% and 35.7% respectively; The positive rate of B-type ultrasonography and computed tomography was 91.9% and 95.9% respectively; The radical resection rat of PC was 1.6%. Conclusions: Improving radical resection rate of PC is basis on the early diagnosis. Taking the initial symptoms seriously is the key to the early diagnosis.ERCP and PPS are the most valuable techniques for diagnosis of early PC...
