Objective To study the effect of cluster needling of scalp point combined with rehabilitation techniques on aphemia due to stroke. Methods Standardized Aphasia Battery of Chinese(ABC) was used to examined 56 aphasics whom were divided into three guoups: acupuncture combined with rehabilitation group, rehabilitation group and control group to assess the aphasia quocient(AQ), the Chinese functional communication(CFCP), Boston diagnostic aphasia examination(BDAE),etc of them. Results The total effective rate in the treatment group was 85.00%,which was superior to that of rehabilitation group and control group (P<0.05) .The scores of ABC,AQ,CFCP and BDAE in the treatment group was higher than that of other groups. Conclusion The cluster needling of scalp point combined with rehabilitation techniques is an effective therapy, which play a very important role for the recovery of language functions and the improvement on functional communication.
