| Objective: To investigate the expression of Cancer-Testis Antigen gene OY-TES-1 in primary brain tumors, and to discuss the feasibility of this antigen as a vaccine for immunotherapy in brain tumors. Methods: With Reverse-Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR), 78 cases of primary brain tumors and 31 cases of normal tissues were tested and statistic analysis was performed. Results: The expressive rate of OY-TES-1 in primary brain tumor and normal tissue is 57.7%(45/78)and 6.5%(2/31),respectively, which showed there was significant difference between them (P<0.05). In a total of 78 cases of primary brain tumor, the expressive rate of the benign and malignant tumor is 70.6%(24/34)and 47.7%(21/44),respectively, with significantdifference between them (P<0.05). The expression of OY-TES-1 showed no correlation with patient's age, sex, and pathological grade of glioma betweenâ… ~â…¡ and â…¢~ â…£(P>0.05). Conclusion: Specifically higher expression of OY-TES-1in primary brain tumor suggested that OY-TES-1 might become a target antigen in immunotherapy of the brain tumor. |
