Research showed that toxin is an important factor that leads to the Seasonal Febrile disease. Dampness-heat evil diseases, especially wetness-warm evil diseases, can also be caused by retention of dampness-heat evil besides exogenous toxin. So, the toxin caused by stagnated dampness is the most important factor of dampness-warm evil diseases. Gan Lu Xiao Du Dan(GLXDD), the delegated prescription of the method of removing toxin and resolving dampness created by Yi tianshi, is a famous prescription which is applied to Qifen stage of dampness-warm evil diseases. It is widely applied to clinical practice, and has made obvious clinical effect.To study the scientific effects of the method and the experimental data of removing toxin and resolving dampness on the Seasonal Febrile disease experimentally, we established the model of Qifen stage of dampness-warm evil diseases by giving the rats condition of foods, dampness-heat environment and mouse Salmonella typhi bacteria. The model rats were divided into two groups: the GLXDD treating group and the control group (treated with Decoction of Coptidis and Magnoliae Officina adding semen Armeniacae Amarum and Radlix Platycodi). The results showed that the treating group was more effective than the control group. The conclusion suggests that the method of removing toxin and resolving dampness is an important and effective treatment for the Qifen stage of dampness-warm evil diseases.
