| Objective:To explore the therapeutic effect of Shudanhewei capsule in treating Bile Reflux Gastritis (BRG). Methods:76 cases of BRG were divided into two groups randomly. The treatment group of 42 cases was treated with Shudanhewei capsule orally while the control group of 36 cases was treated with Weidaxi orally. The clinical and pathological effects were observed during the course. Results:The clinical study has showed that the total effective rate and the cure rate in the treatment group were 95.24% and 35.71%,while in control group were 80.56% and 22.22% respectively. The difference was significant in statistics (P<0.05). The improvement in inflammation of gastric mucosa,bile reflux and disease of biliary tract was better in the treatment group than that of the control group. Shudanhewei capsule may also reverse atrophic gastric mucosa,intestinal metaplasia andatypical hyperplasia in any degree. Conclusion:Shudanhewei capsules are an effective drug in treating BRG. The mechanism might be related to anti-inflammation,protesting gastric mucosa,promoting gastric dynamics,regulating the secretion and drainage of bile and correcting the function of pylorus-sphincter.
