Objective: To study the effective mechanism of Shen-an chongji treating chronic glomerulonephritis.Methods: The adriamycin nephrosis rat models were created by adriamycin injection.40 male Wistar rats,weight 226.55+19.91g,were divided randomly into Shen-an chongji group,Jingui shenqi pill positive control group,Prednison positive control group,model group and normal control group,8 rats each group.At that day to make models,the admistration of drugs started,and lasted for 8 weeks.The blood,urine samples were collected to detect the content of TC,TG,HDL,LDL,BUN,Scr, 24 hours urinary protein ,and the area of glomerulus and mesangial matrix and the number of mesangial cell.Results: l.SACJ could significantly decrease the content of urinary protein of adriamycin nephrosis rats in 24 hours (P<0.01).Then it could relieve the lesion of kidney and total body owing to urine protein.The effect of Shen-an chongji is obviously better than two other positive control drags(P<0.05). 2.The content of SACJ group's Scr were apparently lower than those in the modelgroup(P<0.01) and two other positive control groups(P<0.05 or P<0.01).The content of BUN of SACJ group'BUN already approached that of normal control group (P>0.05).It stated that SACJ could significantly enhance GFR. 3.The content of SACJ group' upemia were obviously lower than that of model group( PO.01) and two other positive control groups(P<0.05 or P<0.01).So SACJ could effective reduce that lipemia damaged mesangial cell directly. 4.SACJ could significantly inhibited the hyperplasia of mesangial matrix and mesangial cell(P<0.01), and reduced effectively the ECM' accumulation and defer the process of glomerulosclerosis fundamentally.Conclusion: SACJ could fundamentally reduced the ECM accumulation and then defer the process of glomerulosclerosis.
