Mycoplasma Pneumoniae (MP) is a slight pathogenic microorganism which situated between bacterium and virus. The course of its infection is different from other pathogen. Through the study of immunologic mechanism and the treatment with Chinese herbs on the model mice infected by MP, We demonstrated the disturbance of the immunologic function of the MP infected mice and the relationship between it and the development of the diseases. We also discussed the immunoregulation of Oral Anti-Mycoplasma (OAM) decoction ,the Chinese herbs of heat clearing and detoxifying (Qing Re Jie Du), in treating the MP infected diseases. Some local and general immunologic indicaters were selected in this experimental mice and rats.Such as T lymphocyte subsets, The phagocytosis of Alveolar macrophage (AM), the level of TNF- ~? produced by AM and the level of TNF- ci of serum the level of IL-2 produced by splenic lymphocyte and the level of IL-2 in pulmonic tissue homogenate. The experimental results showed that the OAM could upregulated the quantity of CD4+ cell and the rate of T lymphocyte subsets ,and downregulated the increased local level of TNF- a and IL-2 to the normal level. The results shown that the OAM could regulate the disbalance of immune function of mice infected by MP. The paper also indicated that the III (4 ABSTRACT Chinese herbs of heat-clearing and detoxifying have the immunotherapy effect in anti-infections therapy.
