| Aging is an indispensable rule for all creatures in their course of life. Generally speaking, it is a series of physiological and anatomical changes coming along with the advancing of age, and is also a course of gradual decrease in the ability to adapt to the inner and outer environment and the ability to compensate. The mechanism of adaptation and compensation is extremely complicated , and which is a general effect in the whole body, so it involves functional and morphologic changes of various of organs and systems. Therefore, senility or aging, as a complicated regenerative course, could not be induced by one single factor, but is a result of many factors?comprehensive effects. At present, worldwide aging of population is more and more serious. From statistics, the world population of aged people is 2billion in 1960, 3billion in 1970, and 6billion in 2000. Now, in our country, the population of the aged people has amounted to I .3billion. TCM, as a fairly influential traditional medicine in the world, has been attaching great importance to the prophylaxis of diseases and anti-aging since ancient times. Based on the comments on aging by ancient books and the principle of prevention(retardation) of aging, the aim of this article is to scientifically explore the therapeutic effect of anti-aging by auricle acupuncture and its probable mechanism, and to provide lab support for clinical applications and fundamental digital material for the research of auricle acupuncture. This research is an animal experiment, whose group division is based on one-blind random allocation, and each group was given different treatment. We choose two kinds of ohservin~ indexes before, during and after the experiment to monitor the animals?endocrinological hormone level (mainly involves sex glands) and anti-aging indexes (mainly relate to free radical metabolism), thus making prospective research on the mechanism of the anti-aging effect of auricle acupuncture. THE FIRST CHAPTER. REVIEW OF LITERATURE I. Knowledge of 1CM on Aging This part comprehensively discussed the knowledge of the ancient and recent people in the clinical symptoms, the etiology and pathological mechanism, the syndrome differentiation and the treatment of aging; summarized the pathological mechanisms as kidney deficiency, spleen deficiency and blood 3 stasis these three parts, and summed up various of effective therapies (mainly acupuncture) from ancient time to rccent times. 2.Recent Development of the Experimental Research on the Anti-aging Effect of Acupuncture. Because aging is an extremely complicated degcnerative course, and is a result of multi-factor抯 comprehensive affects, so the author discussed them from 5 aspects based on different research purposes: 1 Free radical theory and the theory of the accumulation of lipofuscins. 2. Theory of the functional degeneration of endocrine system; 3. Theory of the decrease of the function of the immune system; 4.Theory of the hemorheological change and effect; 5.Theory of trace element. THE SECOND CHAPTER: tHE CLUE AND BASIS OF THE FOUNDATION OF THIS SUBJECT There aren抰 such reports as the research on the interference of auricle acupuncture on the sex hormone and anti-aging indexes. Combined ~vith an epidemiological investigation within the kidney-deficiency patient and the aged patient, we affirm that there are some relations between kidney-deficiency, agi... |
