Cutting area residues has the very high use value. In recent years, with the reduction of nonrenewable energy resources like coal,oil and natural gas, the energy sustainable supply has become the most important question which the humanity faces. The lignin energy is renewable, and there are massive waste materials in the processes of logging and timber processing, therefore, using cutting area residues reasonably is an efficient measure to solve the shortage of energy, many kinds of technology how to use residues also appears one after another. After being collected and compressed, cutting area residues will be stored and transported more convenient, and it will enhance the efficiency of using cutting area residues greatly.Cutting area residues collecting and forming equipment can collect and use cutting area residues automatically and efficiently. Compressing system is an important part of cutting area residues collecting and forming equipment, its function will impact running of the equipment. In this thesis, the technology of collecting and using cutting area residues and the theory of compressing are introduced. Through the analysis on wood bundle's state of motion, the equation of spiral orbit in cylindrical coordinates was defined, it's the basis of how to design other mechanism and selection of actuating mechanism. In this thesis, computer emulating technology is mainly applied. By the direct three-dimensional model by Pro/Engineer software, we can get more direct impression and observe out whether interference exists or not. Importing the Pro/Engineer model into ADAMS, based on theory of hertz, gear engaging force simulation model is established, processing the dynamics emulation by ADAMS. By the running of emulation observing system, it draws speed,acceleration,torque and force, so it assures the feasibility and appropriateness of cutting system in theory, it realizes the optimum design of each parameter of movement and structure of compressing system.Virtual prototyping plays an important role in the machine design, it may greatly save the time of design, reduce the design cycle of new product, the cost of design will also be reduced, it will guarantee the accuracy and the optimality of design, and it has the good practical significance and the using value.
